Product Description

Can the living haunt the living?

When Izzy Stanley, an ambitious TV broadcaster, hears that Susan Atkins has petitioned to be released from prison to be allowed to die peacefully at home, she cannot resist making the wise-crack on air that Susan Atkins' petition is only fair as she herself helped Sharon Tate to die peacefully at home in her turn.

Her impromptu remark inevitably provokes a tumultuous response, and prompts Susan Atkins herself to demand to see her to explain her perspective now that she has found God, which seems like the journalistic coup of the century.

Even better, Izzy suddenly realizes that she herself bears an uncanny resemblance to Susan Atkins' victim, Sharon Tate, a stroke of luck she fully intends to exploit to the full.

Then she starts having dreams in which she is Sharon Tate on that fateful night. The thing is, though, they don't really feel like dreams ….

5.0 out of 5 stars Manson-tastic! 8 Oct 2012

Quick review - I downloaded this book as a freebie but would pay for it.

Great thriller even though I didn't like the lead character, this somehow added to the book but maybe it's just me. I read it in a weekend and would like to read more by this author although the only other book on Amazon is nearly £8.00 which I think is a bit steep for a Kindle book.

The book has also left me intrigued about the Manson family and I will finally get around to reading Helter Skelter for the full story - I hope !

This was not the usual sort of book I would read, but this was quite gripping and also scary. I liked the central character too.

Worth reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not all that bad! 5 Jun 2014

Not a bad read. It was intriguing, exciting and completely different to anything I've ever read. However, I thought the end was a bit of a cop out.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for me! 27 May 2013
Absolute rubbish.
Badly researched, mistakes all the way through. If you're writing a book based on the Manson Family, however loosely, then you should manage to spell the man's full name correctly.
Fair enough, it's fiction, however the plot was dull and the characters were so flimsy and boring that Susan Atkins was the most likeable.
This has one star because it won't let me leave none.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Farfetched 28 Jun 2013

Another book that sounded quite fascinating but I wasn't keen on. I made it 33% in and gave up. All a little too fanciful for me. I love true crime and this was a fictionalised tale of a lady reporter getting to interview the infamous Susan Atkins. However, it drifted into the realms of unbelievability too much for me. I'm too black 'n' white to take it on board.
There were a lot of apostrophe mistakes and missing commas, too.
