...when even a bunch of East End gangsters do in this great story, which introduces us to Angel's mother, father and brother (the sister is introduced later in the series)
The book has actually two stories running through it. Angel has to sort out his brother's 'little bother' and also have to help an East End gangster put an end to a scam involving beer barrels (well, with Angel around it would have to be).
First, expect the unexpected with Ripley (and Angel) and secondly - remember these characters, although probably cariacatures, are not your typical everyday personalities.
The only thing that slightly unnerved me was the way in which the bad guy was despatched - something somewhat final with no humour, though the funeral and the way it was set up was funny and somewhat touching. (READ the book, I'm not gonna give it away)
