Big book of Kaffe Fassett's designs for men's/women's and kids' knitwear, creatively photographed in such places as Morocco and Key West. There's lots of full page spreads illustrating the jumpers, which are pretty ambitious in terms of working with many different colour wools simultaneously. But they are certainly attractive, and I completed one in multi-coloured cables (after a lot of tangles!)

I had heard a great many people say how much they liked Fassett's use of color, and so I found this book and explored. I'm glad I did that before I bought it: I have a very different set of sensibilities when it comes to color than the authors of Family Album.

I've given it a relatively high score, though, for the nice lines of their clothing and the clear instructions. I am just not the right knitter for their designs.

There's nothing here for anyone below the level of an adventurous intermediate knitter (IMHO), but the book itself would be great inspiration to increase your skill if you like their style - great pictures and good-looking models make this almost a coffee table book.

The patterns and colors are too overstated for my taste, but it's very clear to me that they love their subject and they give good value in the book (over thirty designs for about $20 on this site).

This is a very cherished book as it has patterns for the whole family. Beautiful pictures and designs that will stand the test of time. A real collectors item. I love it.

I love his use of color and design. Only downfall is not all patterns shown in pictures are in book. Has patterns for the whole family.
