About the Author

Dr. Jill Nash grew up in (arguably) the best place in Britain - The Lake District. Always one for fun and adventure she trained as an outdoor pursuits instructor before globe trotting all over the world on scuba-diving expeditions and studying in various parts of France and Turkey. She married Carlo in Italy, and they gave birth to their first daughter Gaia Maria 2 years ago. She still hasn t lost her love for real travel , and refuses to stay in large family resorts, eating convenience foods, just because she has a young family. Carlo Nash also a fellow Northerner (but with a family history in Italy - a much guarded family secret!) grew up in Bolton, Lancashire. Carlo is actually a professional premiership footballer, which allows him to travel the world during the off season , but unfortunately he cannot partake in all the dangerous activities - he persuades his wife to instead! He is the man behind the lens, painstakingly making sure every shot and every angle is perfect. As a new Dad he still hasn t lost his adventurous spirit, and always looks for the most adventurous and unusual places to visit, such as the far away Haa Alif Atoll in the Maldives which was a mission to reach, especially with a 16 week old baby!

5.0 out of 5 stars A necessary purchase for all families 29 Dec 2011
Format:Paperback
If you have children and an adventurous spirit, then this book is for you. Irregardless of your budget, there are plenty of trip ideas and inspiration from trekking in Peru to low-key destinations (such as Malta). The book is highly pictoral and has some great suggestions of different types of accomodation and restaurant reviews too.
