Canadian thrush Celine Dion is primarily a singles artist, which is a good thing, because the soaring, epic style she brings to nearly all of her material is thrilling in four-minute bursts, but nearly overwhelming at album length. Falling Into You is Dion's finest attempt to temper that approach--mixing low-key love songs and dance pop between showstoppers such as "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" and the Up Close and Personal movie theme, "Because You Loved Me". Dion's take on Tina Turner's Phil Spector experiment "River Deep, Mountain High" is game, but there's little doubt which singer hails from the Great White North and which one is from Nutbush, Tennessee. --Daniel Durchholz

i bought this album on a whim after i seen it in a sale.
as soon as i listened to it i fell in love with it!
it's simply AMAZING!!!
the singles released from it are amazing.
my favorites are:
it's all coming back to me now
because you loved me
make you happy
dreamin' of you
if that's what it takes
fly
falling into you
it has happy songs & sad songs, especially the song dedicated to her sister.
A MUST HAVE!!! :)

This is Celine's best english album. It's got the classics It's All Coming Back To Me Now, Because You Loved Me, All By Myself. My favourite songs are Dreamin' Of You, I Don't Know and Make You Happy. This won the best pop album and record of the year at the 97 Grammys. I can see why!

Format:Audio CD
Celine's fourth English-spoken album is packed with trademark singles such as 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now' and 'Because You Loved Me' but, apart from the atmospheric 'Call The Man', there are no other epics here as on earlier albums. The album is typical of the early 1990s' pop music style: upbeat songs have a very commercial edge which makes for easy listening but this is no showcase for songwriting!! Nevertheless, 'Falling Into You' has some fantastic tracks which showcase Dion's glorious range, for example her gutsy version of 'Natural Woman'. She may not outdo the original versions but she definitely gives them a run for their money! Buy this album just for the singles alone, they are worth listening to endlessly.
