More About the Author

Linn B Halton lives in the small village of Lydbrook, Gloucestershire in the UK, but was born in Bristol. She resides there with her husband and cat with 'catitude'- Mr Tiggs.

Linn began writing in March 2009 and her debut novel was published in February 2011. In a recent interview Linn was asked about genres:

"From a very young age I knew romantic fiction was always going to be my genre. I am, and will always be, madly in love with love! Whether that's love of life, a partner, or the things I'm passionate about.

My stories are about love, life and real relationships - but romance is always the one thing that holds each story together. Often there's a light, psychic touch and I never dreamed I would write drawing upon my personal psychic experiences. But as my interest and understanding has grown in the subject, it is now such a part of my life it finds its way into my fictional tales. However, what is heartening is that most of my experiences have been uplifting and it's wonderful to know loved ones are around me always. I hope it will make readers stop and wonder 'What if?'

The result is that I get a lot of mail from readers who have had similar experiences and some are sharing theirs for the first time with me. I always feel that's something rather special and for which I'm very grateful."

Love, life and beyond... but it's ALWAYS about the romance!

Linn is published by HarperImpulse and Sapphire Star Publishing.
Linn is the editor of Loveahappyending Lifestyle emagazine.

About the Author

I live in a small village in Gloucestershire with the man I fell in love with, virtually at first sight. We were at a party and our eyes ‘met’ across a crowded room! My days are spent with characters who become friends and Mr Tiggs, a feline with catitude. I always knew that one day I would write romantic novels, but I never dreamed they would have a psychic twist! I’ve experienced many ‘unexplainable’ things, but it took a long time for me to accept the reality of what that means. Love, life and beyond…but it’s ALWAYS about the romance!

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping and intense start to the series! 19 Oct 2013
By Queen B
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Wonderfully written, this book tells the first part of Ceri's journey of self-discovery and her budding romance with colleague, Alex. Ceri sees angels but what do they really want her to do? Are they guiding her or hindering her chance of leading a normal life?

You don't have to be a believer in any of the suggestions made in the story to enjoy it. Linn B Halton's fluent, easy-to-read writing style will have you empathising with the characters and going on the journey with them.

I can't wait for the second instalment!

Falling: HarperImpulse Paranormal Romance Novella (Angels Among Us, Book 1) Having already read and loved some of Linn B Halton's books, I took `Falling', the first in the Angels Among Us series, away on holiday. I'm a boater and sometimes time dedicated to reading can be limited. It has to engage me immediately therefore and keep me engaged. Falling engrossed me, totally. It's beautifully written, a clarity and calmness in the author's voice which drew me straight into Ceri's world, a world where she co-exists with angels. Ceri doesn't fall over them. She more experiences them on occasion, her strong intuition telling her they are simply there to direct her to intervene in a life event, thereby averting tragedy. She's not spooked by them, though possibly by the fact that she's different and doesn't - yet - understand why. Thus, her intuition is screaming at her in regard to her twin brother's upcoming wedding. Seb's fiancée is going to hurt him, he's going to `crumble', yet Ceri has no way of knowing how, her frustration exacerbated by the fact that she can find nothing to dislike about her brother's intended. The tragedy that ensues (and I'm not saying a word, which would definitely be a huge spoiler) had me stopping and taking deep breaths. The emotion around events at that time, Ceri's emotions and those of her brother, as told through Ceri, were tremendously affecting and totally believable (although I didn't want to believe it!). My heart broke for her brother - and for Ceri, too, who obviously blames herself for not doing ... something.

There is no `man' in Ceri's life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully brilliant. 10 Oct 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Ceri has always seen angels, whether it be at a moment of imminent danger to herself or others, often strangers which can leave her intervention quite hard to explain. She records each incident in a journal so she can keep track of the regularity of it.

She is in no way frightened by it and accepts it as a huge part of her life as she knows no other, but people around her find it strange, non more so than her twin brother, Seb, who tries to persuade her to let it take a back seat and to stop attracting attention to it. Ceri has feelings also that Seb will have his heart broken by his fiancée, but this she does choose to keep to herself. Ceri knows however, she can't push her ability to the back of her mind though, she knows it's a gift that has been bestowed on her and she has the ability to help people.

Her life changes in many ways and she suffers a horrible and unexpected tragedy that impacts heavily on her life, and more because she had no warning or ability to stop it. She then goes on a journey to help examine her gift and develop her powers in a different way, being helped by unlikely sources along the way.

The first instalment of Angels Among Us is beautifully written and immensely gripping.

The characters are created well and carry the story along perfectly. I really liked Ceri and felt an affinity with her from the outset, I also loved Alex and really enjoyed the way their characters developed, the romance and the twist at the end, I was not expecting that!

I found the part where Alex and Ceri seek advice on angels and mediumship really interesting, it left me pondering deeply and I was most fascinated in the theory of what happens to us when we sleep!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Powerful Paranormal Romance 9 Oct 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
In Angels we are introduced to Ceri - to all extents and purposes a normal working girl with hopes and dreams of love and happiness. However, she knows she is different and has gifts that set her apart from the folk around her, but she is afraid and unsure of the meaning of her life and the events that unfold. We follow her struggle to understand her purpose and to accept her destiny - even when things don't work out the way she wanted.

When powerful emotion, passion and love come into our lives there should be joy and fulfilment - but for Ceri something in the universe is trying to stop her. Can we indulge our hearts-desire in the present without causing changes to the paths we are meant to follow? Can mutual love between soul-mates really be so wrong? Just who is Ceri and what is she? Can she ever just love and be loved in return?

Linn Halton writes with a light touch that is easy to read and creates believable characters you will love and care about.

This is my favourite book from Linn Halton so far - and it's only part one of a trilogy - so plenty more to follow... I can't wait!
