Product Description

When a troop of alien warriors demands the return of an imprisoned comrade-- a prisoner no one on Deep Space Nine knows anything about-- Commander Benjamin Sisko has a deadly fight on his hands. Under sudden attack from the heavily armed warriors, Sisko and his crew struggle desperately to repel the invaders and save the lives of everyone on board.

Meanwhile, a strange device from the Gamma Quadrant has shifted Ferengi barkeeper Quark and Security Chief Odo three days into the future to a silent Deep Space Nine. To save the station they must discover what caused the invasion to take place, and find a pathway back through time itself.

Oh yeah 24 Jan 2000

Format:Mass Market Paperback
A somewhat overused plot in science fiction in general is presented on the often static Deep Space Nine with such panache and flair that this gripping story just can NOT be put down. Spot on characters (not bad for early in the series) and rivetting action make this an amazing read, despite the predictable cop-out 'reset' ending.

Excellent book 4 Nov 2007
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I have read many books and am an eclectic reader have phases of many genres. As another reviewer commented extremly gripping story.

Always been a star trek fan though. Of all the trek books this is one of my favorates and most memorable!, along with Peter Davids sublime Imzadi. Some excellently gripping and action packed scenes come together with some shocking twists and turns. My only gripe could be the use of the re-set button, but without it you would not have been able to tell this story.

I found a new copy in the bookshop recently and snapped it up as I'd always heard Fallen Heroes was the best early DS9 novel. Quark and Odo are the main characters here, and the author accurately depicts the sparring between them the series was so well known for. The audiobook, read by Rene Auberjonois is also worth checking out.
