Fall-Out by Gudrun Pausewang is a very sad book as fourteen year old Janna must try to save her and her little brother's life as the Nuclear Power plant in Grafenrheinfeld,German, has had a radioactive leak. The radioactive cloud is coming closer and Janna and her brother Uli have been told by their mother to go to their Aunt's house in Hamburg. I thought it is a very powerful book and it is also a very emotional story but well worth a read i would recomend it to anyone. Gudrun Pausewang has produced a very good book. I would definitely read Fall-out again.It is a story that can be enjoyed by all ages and can be read over and over again but the story never becomes boring or tiresome.

The book was a very good read and I could not put it down after I had started. I don't really like reading books but this one was an exception. It was a gripping book that tells the story of a nuclear disaster in Germany and about 14 year old, Janna, who has to look after her little brother, Uli, while her parents are away visiting her gran, Jo. Janna has the responsibility of making important decisions, which could mean life or death for both herself and her little brother. At the end I was disappointed it had finished and wanted to read on to see what Janna's Gran and Granpa's reactions to her parents and her little brothers' deaths. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. It was brilliant.

as soon as i read the first few chapters i couldn't put this book down.it is a tragic accident that leads 14 year old janna into a life or death situation for her and her brother.though they are advised to stay in their basement they travel on.split up from their parents in all the madness,disease and death,will there ever be a light at the end of the tunnel?...
