The characters already know each other. The story starts up several months after the hero has seriously shot himself in the foot (metaphorically speaking) with the girl he can't get out of his mind. She's 18 and just graduated from High school. He's this young movie star (you know you're old when twenty-three is really young - I remember when twenty-three sounded old)...anyway...he's this gorgeous movie star whose blown into a small Oregon seaside town (called Seaside - AKA Hell) with his friends and then falls for a local girl, daughter of a Pastor and then he runs away. He's a self admitted man-whore terrified of losing his heart...or rather losing any more pieces of his heart. The story starts with him being sent (against his will) back there to
kill time keeping out of trouble and serving in the community because he desperately wants the lead roll in this romantic movie (he normally does action films), but he needs to clean up his act. So his agent sends him back to Seaside where he'll hopefully get some good press.
This is funny and poignant.Read more ›
In this book we really get to know Jamie Jaymeson, Sexiest man, outstanding actor, british, playboy to the extreme and the real loving caring, gentle sexy man you could find !!
In this book he returns to Seaside, to take some forced time out from his manwhorish ways, and he knows he will meet Priscilla again, the girl he wanted but rejected and has thought about her ever since !
I really liked Priscilla, we met her previously in the seaside novels but didn't really get to know her. In this book she is alone for a few weeks while her mother and father travel. She is strong but she's been trying to forget about Jameson and has failed to do so.
This was a beautifully written story that will draw you into the characters and you will live it with them. Jameson wants things to be different and befriends Pris this time, showing her more of himself, and she falls hard for him but at the same time tries not to and even dates someone else. So Jameson only has one choice, and that's to open himself up to her and lay his feelings out there, with the risk of her rejecting him.
"I want the dates you haven't yet planned, the moments you've yet to experience. i want them all." My chin trembled as he gripped it firmly between his fingers "Don't you get it?" His voice wavered. "It's always been you. The whole time. For the past three months. You and only you."
SWOON!!! there are so many swoon worthy moments in this book, but there are also tear jerking moments and smile moments.
"What can i do to convince you that i'm serious? That you're my downfall ---My everything?"
When Tragedy strikes Jameson mans up, and boy does he man up !!!Read more ›
THE SEASIDE series is one of my favourites, I was all for ALEC when I first read the series but after reading this one my now split 50/50. jaymeson story had me crying with laughter, when I read his story i picture the English actor Alex petteyfer as him.
when you first come accross jaymeson in earlier books he comes accross as a sefl centred ******** but after reading this hes just a loveable guy. really wish this was made in to a film. congrats rachel A***
Sometimes i wish I lived in Seaside, Oregon even though I've got an amazing boyfriend and am pretty happy in London and all.... I mean, it's clearly pretty much the best place on earth!
Now back to the story.
Tears, loads and loads of tears especially in the last 70-90% of the book, there are laughs to cause let's be honest Jaymeson is a funny character and the JAD2 trio (I'm trademarking that! although Rachel, honey - feel free to use it!) kept me in stitches.
