Product Description

Friends. Everyone needs them. Especially when relations between you and your family are less than perfect. And for the talented and ambitious Janet Street-Porter, her friends became her family.
After the mirthless childhood she so superbly portrayed in Baggage, Janet moved on to the sexy and excessive world of the media in the 60s and 70s. Her talents and outrageousness attracted a whole host of disparate, fascinating and creative friends, who helped, and sometimes hindered, her path to success. But Janet's address book changed as the years went by. Friends fell out, and new ones came in.
Fall Out is the story of these vibrant characters - some famous, some infamous, all extraordinary - and their often volatile relationships with her. Above all, it is a portrait of an exciting and creative era, by someone who lived it to the full.

Great read!! 11 July 2010
Format:Hardcover
This is a great read for anyone who knows the sixties and around. J S-P writes well - there is a bit of what might appear to be name-dropping, but that is not the way it is, simply the way it was! She has had a remarkable life - buy the other auto-biog of hers as well!!

Totally Boring! 21 Jan 2007
Format:Hardcover
I have never read a more BORING autobiography in all my life! I like Janet Street Porter and thought her book would be hilarious but it was very stern and she talked mostly about USA Government! Totally boring! It would be better if it was based on her life today without the Government and all her political issues! A big fat zero for a rating I'm afraid.

I agree with L. Lockhart. I was really looking forward to reading this book but I haven't managed to get more than a couple of chapters in.

Also, the double line spacing of the text is VERY annoying. The book would be half the size if it had standard text like every other book!

Very disappointing
