I have bought this item purely as a cheap guitar to take on a road trip to Europe and write all over.
It is well worth the price. I have only played it for a few seconds in the office to check it out when it arrived, but for a cheap guitar the action is nice and low with no fret buzz.
The intonation was spot on, which is sometimes a problem on cheap acoustics.
The sound quality is better than expected for something this cheap.
This is excellent for someone who is just starting up - or for an experienced player who wants something to take on holiday or to festivals.
It's just a no mess, simple guitar.

I bought this guitar a few months back for £45.96 and despite taking incredibly long to be delivered to me it's the best thing i've ever bought. first of all for it's price it is a brilliant quality instument, ten times better than the picture shown for it, it's very well cut and put together and plays like a dream. secondly when I bought this guitar it came with a small instuction manual that had diagrams of most basic chords and as I was a beginner at the time this was ideal. finally this guitar has been excellent for practicing and learning on as it's easily tuned and comes with excellent strings (five of which are still on the guitar) and because of how reliable and enjoyable to play it's been I can't see myself getting rid of it even when I am more experienced.

SImply put - an excellent choice and great value for money. I wouldn't even say its basic, its nicer than a lot of accoustics I've seen at much higher prices. Word of warning for beginners - it is steel strung so will be very sore on the fingers if you are not used to it!! However this is true of all steel strung guitars. If you are not sure go for a nylon string classical.
