We have been using my wife's Grandmothers steel dishes for years, and they were getting past it. So I was told that if I ever see new similar dishes for sale, get them. Looked on Amazon, and there they were, just what we wanted. Bought three sizes, at very economical cost. Why spend a fortune on fancy dishes, when these are available, and will last years. Our son may get to use them one day when we have gone, they last that long. Maybe not, he's a vegan, and we put MEAT in our dishes.

I find tin pie tins much better than glass ones i.e. pyrex.The pies cook more evenly and no soggy bottom. Can be used on the stove top to so saving the washing up. Cook filling on hob, place pastry lid on top and straight into the oven job done.

Reminds me of the old days when pies were made in similar dishes, but I think they were slightly thicker and heavier.
