Product Description

Will is popular with the girls but they don't see him as boyfriend material and, at nearly 15, he's never had a girlfriend. When he sees a photo of Hannah, his step-mum's beautiful niece who wants to be an actress, he shows it to his friend and pretends she's his girlfriend. Will's reputation soars as he and his friend Barney work out details of her life and personality. But soon, to preserve Will's credibility, his girlfriend must put in an appearance. Barney needs her too to make his girlfriend jealous and the resulting complications lead to very unexpected results.

A Great Read 3 Aug 2003
Format:Paperback
A boy called Will has found out that he is not a boyfriend material. So he makes up a dream girl to solve all his problems, but that’s what he thinks!

Will is the star of the book! He writes a diary about girls, girls nothing but girls. He is a guy who wants to be the “popular kid” in school. He wants to have girls running after him. He is a boy who is always left out, but then comes the dream girl (in his head anyway)!

My favourite part was when he tried to convince his dad's girlfriend's young cousin to be his girlfriend, how desperate is that!

He encounters lots of problems like when he bought a ring and engraved it from his pretend girlfriend to himself but didn't know that his school enemy's brother was watching him!

I like the diary format making it nice and easy to read.

Nicolla, 10 years old

Really funny! 16 Jun 2003
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
"Faking it" is a hilarious and unpredictable read. It's about a teenage boy, Will, who is dumped by his girlfrind, Ruth. He is very upset by it and so he makes up a new girlfriend, Hannah, based on a photo he finds. But how long can he keep up the charade? Soon he and his best friend are struggling hard to keep people from finding out the truth about Hannah.

This book is a great read. It contains lots of amusing incidents and funny phrases. The writer really understands teenage boys, and portrays them really well. "Faking It" is just pure fun and is great to read if you need cheering up.
