I don't normally read novels but I made an exception for this one. So glad I did. Sensitive, funny and sweary! Lots of fun. Andy Moore.

One of the two protagonists is an old drunk hack called Barry Fox; I both loved and hated him. He's one of those people you wouldn't want to be too close to, but close enough to be within earshot of his cutting humour. Olly the oestopath, on the other hand, is (in theory) the perfect new man who actually (underneath all his herbal remedies) is just another pervy bloke. Owing to the death of a woman in common, Barry ends up living with (and invading) Olly. An insightful look at men - with Planer's delightful humour making it very funny as well as being a poignant social comment on men today.
