Easy to use. Not too heavy but a bit uncomfortable on the shoulder. I tend to carry it by the shoulder strap in the left hand while operating the spraying wand with the right hand. No pressure leaks so you can spray for considerable periods before pumping up. A good buy.

I just needed a cheap sprayer for Scotch-guarding my new carpets (well Prochem Fluoroseal guarding at any rate).
It's a big beast that belies its cheap price. I read some of the other reviews that complained about the quality, but to be honest, I can't see why anyone's had trouble in that department.

The container itself if thick translucent plastic, with capacity markings on the side. There are two lugs at the top for attaching the carry strap, which I found just right to hand on your shoulder (I'm 6'). The pump handle screws in the top nicely and has a nice locking feature so you can carry it about using the handle without it extending. There's a nice pressure-release valve at the top too, preventing any contents bursting out if you need to open it whilst still under pressure.

The spray gun is a nice long tube with adjustable spray head and on/off pressure switch, which can be locked 'on'.

To pressurize it, you need as few as 25 pumps when nearly empty, fewer when full. As long as you don't over-pump it, I should imagine it will last quite a while.

The sprayer consists of the 5 litre bottle, pump mechanism, the hose with trigger, and a pressure release valve, all assembled and ready to go out of the box. A lance with small spray head simply screws on the trigger and can be swivelled to get the angle that is most useful. This is quite fragile, eg if you were to step on it, but being yellow it is more easily spotted than green in a garden when you put it down. The trigger is operated by squeezing, and has the major virtue that it can be locked on by sliding forward, eliminating the need to hold it open for big jobs. Instructions are printed on the box and are comprehensive with photos.

The stirrup handle for the pump locks on to the bottle cap and is cleverly designed so that it stays in place both tightening and undoing the cap - giving easily enough extra leverage if wrist strength is low. As a test I put 2 litres of water in the bottle, pumped 20 times, pretty much like the effort needed for a bike tyre pump, and sprayed adjusting the nozzle to the point just before the spray becomes a jet stream. Good pressure was maintained for 4 or 5 minutes and the diminishing spray only stopped when the bottle was empty after about 10 minutes. Slightly unscrewing the pressure valve releases remaining pressure for emptying and cleaning the bottle. Leaving the pumped up bottle for half an hour showed no loss of pressure when used.

The webbing shoulder strap is strong and the ring ends attach to sturdy lugs on the bottle, looking good to last. Inevitably the strap might need a bit of padding if carrying a full bottle for long periods.

Impossible to say much about longevity at this stage, but the sprayer is thoughtfully designed, well made and the supplier's email and postal address details are on the box.

This is a good little spray and excellent value for money.
We give it 5 * on that basis.
The price is low enough for the unit to be kept as a dedicated sprayer of herbicides, so there is no need to worry about damage to plants if cleaning is not perfect.
The only instructions are on the sides of the box, and some people may need more help in its use than can be provided on such a limited space.
As I am rather tall, I could have done with a few extra inches in the sprayer, but any 8 mm tube will suffice.
We found the carrying strap superfluous, as the pumping handle is quite strong enough to form a carrying handle, but others may find it more useful.
The delivery was good too, with the unit arriving within a few days of our placing the order.

the strap is a bit uncomfy bare in mind a gallon of water is 10lbs but the sprayer its self cant be faulted, and it wont be to hard to fit a bit of padding to the strap " i got velcro backed pads thats ment to be on a car seat belt i'll use them "
great sprayer for the price

Firstly I am a fool.
I bought a Gloria Tukan sprayer from Amazon (virtually same price as this) for spraying weedkiller.
I wanted a second sprayer for fungicide so went on Amazon and intended to buy the same sprayer again.
I didn't!
Instead I bought the Faithful, thinking this was the same as the Gloria I had already.
Now dont get me wrong, the Faithful is OK, its worth £11 or so.
However next to the german made Gloria its rubbish.
So one star from me. Not because its a bad product in itself, but when for virtually the same price you can have something much better engineered then how can I possibly rank it higher? Its like if you could have a BMW for the same price as a Citroen.
So go forth and buy a gloria for glorious spraying.

UPDATE APRIL 2015: This sprayer has had fairly regular use for over a year now and to be fair, my initial 1 star review was only to draw attention to the fact that the then similarly priced Gloria sprayer was much better for the same price. Zoom forwards to 2015 and the Gloria is now much more expensive and the Faithfull has lived up to its name so far. So revised to three stars as it's worked well with my weedkiller for the last 12 months.
