I am sorry that the other reviewer 'm' had a bad experience with this shampoo. It does have a bold scent which may not be to everybody's taste but I'm very pleased with this shampoo and my partner likes the smell on me! My dry skin and scalp are not irritated and only a small amount needs to be used to get clean hair (I don't bother trying to get the usual chemical lather from it). For me this shampoo gently invigorates! - gentle on the scalp with an invigorating smell & feel.

I actually quite like this shampoo. It doesn't get very foamy, but a little bit goes a long way, and works very effectively. The smell is a bit different from most shampoos, but it smells like rosemary, so it's not cloying or bad. By far the best thing about this shampoo (for me, at least) is that it makes my normally wavy hair quite curly, so it's turned into a must-have product. The only warning I have is that conditioner must also be used, or else hair feels a bit funny after.

The pure, natural smell is quite uplifting - reminds me of Vosene, if you like that, but not overpowering. I was prepared for no lather, like other natural shampoos, but a small amount of this lathers up easily and washes well, leaving hair clean and soft. Based on using every three days so far, I expect this bottle to last me about six months. If you care about what you put on your skin as well as the environment, check out the totally organic ingredients.

I've been looking around for some more natural hair products for a while, having become concerned at all the nasty chemicals in other shampoos. I bought some of this with some trepidation as it's more expensive than the cheapest-of-the-cheap stuff I usually buy in large quantities, and because there were mixed reviews here on Amazon. The shampoo does contain one sulphate in the ingredients list, but after some research, it appears to be a mild one, and I decided it'll be okay since my goal is to avoid parabens and SLES.

For the record, my hair is black, relatively thick and straight, and does get a bit greasy after a few days without being washed.

The verdict? I'm very pleased with this product. It lathers up quite nicely given the lack of weird chemicals and seems to do a good job in cleaning my hair. The smell is pleasant - something I enjoy having a whiff of - but I do understand the other reviewer's comment about overtones of polish. Rosemary is indeed a strange ingredient for shampoo. But it does work.

Combined with the Faith in Nature Rosemary conditioner, this is an excellent product that I intend to buy again next time.

Remember that if you're switching from a chemical-laden shampoo to something more natural, you can expect your hair to go through a greasy transitioning stage as it will be used to overproducing oil in response to being stripped by the harsh chemicals.

I've got thin but quite healthy and a bit oily hair and I've got a lot of them on my head. After the first wash my hair felt really soft and very light but not frizzy, even after blowdrying. Before I'd been using different shampoos from the supermarkets like tresemme for frizzy hair. it helped with the frizziness but my skull felt itchy and when I found out about SLS, I thought it's time to switch to more natural shampoos. I've got long hair and to be fair I din't have to use much of the shampoo. I like the fact it's more watery cause it rinses off easier and faster and afterwards my hair are squiky clean. I really like the quite strong herbal scent but once you rinse it off, it's not strong anymore, so that's good. I honestly think it's worth a try. cause rosemary is a really beneficial herb for hair. I didn't use conditioner. I was worried it would be difficult to brush my hair afterwards but I use only few drops of argan oil and it was super easy to untangle them. I used aloe vera shampoo in the past once, organic but I had problem with detangling my hair. It was a real pain. But with this one, I had no such problem (plus the oil help, and two drops don't make your hair oily, don't worry). on top of that it's reasonably priced, I feel. Can't comment yet on whether it makes your hair stronger cause one wash is not enough to tell, but hair are definitely shiny. I think I'll never go back to those harsh high street shampoos. Oh, one more thing - it's made in England. Though I'm European myself living in the UK, I believe in supporting local produce.

I love this shampoo as it froths up nicely and keeps my hair clean for longer than regular paraben-filled products. I use it with the Jojoba conditioner and my hair is soft and shiny and has body.

Fantastic for your hair and smells fab!
Does leave your hair with a bit dry feeling, but if you have proper greasy hair as I do atm due to pregnancy hormones, this is a winner for sure! Help if you have dandruff too.
Only but it is a bit watery and therefore not 5*..

Great for my 'normal' (not particularly oil or dry) hair, has a slightly medicinal smell which my daughter complained about at first but has grown accustomed to it now.
