This twenty-fifth volume of the 'Fairy Tail' manga sees the continuation of the S-Class Wizard trials with Natsu facing off against Gildarts in the first round and learning a valuable lesson. When the first round is compete, the remaining participants move on to round two, a search for the grave of the first Master of the Guild but things soon begin to get out of hand as some unexpected intruders make an appearance on the island who could spell trouble for the exam and the guild as a whole.
This is another entertaining volume of 'Fairy Tail' with all the usual humour and action. The volume sees the plot take an interesting turn with the arrival of outside forces greatly complicating the S-Class Wizard trials but before that though Natsu gets some nice, if minor, development in his fight against Gildarts. This volume also sees the relationship between Gajeel and Levi get a little development and we also see a nice little flashback of how Gajeel joined the guild in the first place. The volume also reveals the truth about Mest and the reason he is on the island.
While this arc is still only just getting started this volume leaves things in an interesting place and things only get better from here. Overall this was a good volume and deserves around four and a half stars.
