This is a beautifully illustrated little book of fairy projects designed to be undertaken by parent and child (so simple but effective.) From the fairies themselves with wooden beads for heads and bodies of artificial flowers; their playground -shiny pond with flowers and a dragonfly; an enchanted basket to sleep in...
Also complete outfit for the little girl who wants to dress up; party accessories on the theme and even a few gifts.
Great for keeping little girls occupied. I liked it!

Pretty obvious really 19 May 2010

I bought this book for £1. I'm glad. I really didn't think that the 'projects' are that inventive. Perhaps if you find it difficult to come up with ideas for fairy things then this book would be good for you.

Best Fairy Craft Book Ever! 6 Mar 2004
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I like to create craft projects and I think this book is very good. It's not just a how-to craft book but a story and picture book. There is a story about four fairy characters, along with many colorful pictures. Each chapter has fairy crafts to do that go with the story. I made a fairy out of wire, beads, fake feathers and fake butterfly wings for my big sister. The book told me how to make it and the directions were easy to understand. It came out great!

Fairy Crafts: 23 Enchanting Toys, Gifts, Costumews, and Part 21 Oct 2003

This book makes me wish I had a little girl! We would have the best birthday party!

I teach 5-6 year olds. We studied flowers this fall. We used Heidi's book as part of the imagination phase to our study. The children loved the story that ran throughout the book. The paintings that went with the story were terrific. The story got the children involved and they all wanted to make some of the projects. The directions were easy to follow. All the children, boys and girls, loved making the flower bracelets. This book is a keeper!

Beautiful Book 13 Feb 2007
By Ami Scott - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I bought this book, along with Sweet Pea's Garden: Special Things to Make and Do ~ A Flower Fairies Friends Book & How to Host a Flower Fairy Tea Party, to help me with my daughter's fairy birthday party. The crafts are exquisite as well as resonably easy to do. Most items can be easily found around the house or your nearest craft store. I love the crafts in both this and Sweet Pea's Garden. Both books are easy to do although I think Sweet Pea works best for our smaller fairies while this book would be perfect for an upscale girls tea party. I loved the little stories and the illustrations that were woven through the book. The only thing that dissapointed me was that there weren't any recipes. If there had been three or four little recipes that would have rounded out the book perfectly. I fell in love with the little cake in the picture of the table setting at the beginning of chapter three. The crafts included invitations, bookmarks, wings, skirts, fairy dolls with a fairy land playground, jewelry, etc. My favorite crafts were the playground and the blooming tableware. Both were made to decorate my daughters table and they were absolutely beautiful. This made for a magical day. Oh, and there are instructions for a Violet Choker by Heidi Boyd at the DIY website.
