Product Description

Review

'I love this book...it is novel, punchy and extremely well written. It takes the pomposity out of strategic management, showing that strategy is everywhere and can really help with the complicated jargon. A great read, buy it!' -
Cary L. Cooper, Professor of Organizational Psychology and Health
Lancaster University Management School

'If strategy is the queen of business, then this book offers us the perfect introduction to her court! It is accessable, lively, and informative. The book repays the reader with wonderful account of how strategy works. It also lets the reader in on some of the darker secrets of strategy' -
André Spicer, Associate Professor of Organisation Studies
Warwick Business School

It was short but very interesting! Summed up a lot of useful points and areas and gave a great foundation to learning about stragey. It's written very well, good detail but in a lighter tone and offers good references.

A short, well written and easy to read overview of strategic management - going through strategic theory and then highlighting the importance of power and politics. I liked the examples, for example using Porter's diamond to illustrate the success of the music industry in Manchester.

it's a nice book. It covers most key points of Strategic management.
However, the sentences are a little bit hard to read by a non English-speaker.
