I was actually looking for Phil Cunningham's albums, not John's, when I've stumbled upon this. I already had a bunch of fiddle instrumental music CDs, and I thought I had enough. But after listening to the samples available, I've decided to give it a try. Happy I have.
This is my favourite now of all celtic fiddling CDs, amongst John Doherty's, Tommy Poples' and others.
Just listen to how beautiful and sad "Archibald Mcdonald of Keppoch" is followed by "Planxty Drew/Planxty Wilkinson" and you'll be blown away.
The only weak point of this CD is the liner notes - just very short comments by Cunningham himself on some of the tracks.
