Book Description

31 Dec 1999
The One Tarot Dedicated to the Faery Tradition This deck is unlike any other. It has five sections with 40 Element cards (10 for each of the four magickal elements, matching the pip cards of the Minor Arcana), 16 Helper cards (all with figures from Celtic mythology) that are similar to the court cards, 22 Ancient Ones which are like the Major Arcana, and extra cards featuring the Power card and the four Gift of Faery cards. Although unique, this deck is similar to and feels like a standard Tarot; it can work with any divinatory spread you like. To make divination with this deck easier, it comes with a 180-page mini-book that features meanings for each card when used in a reading plus 15 different layouts you can use. The book also describes the symbolic and mythological meanings of the cards. The imagery of the cards will carry you to another world. Combined with the information about them in the book, this set becomes a virtual training system in the Faery Wicca faith. Use them to steep yourself in the Faery tradition. The Faery Wicca tradition is based upon ancient Irish myth and legend. It brings to life the ancient gods and goddesses who can guide, comfort and imbue you with spirituality and power. The symbolism on these cards brings forth that vision in a way that will inspire you to a greater appreciation of the Faery Wicca path, a deeper understanding of yourself, and the ability to use the power of the Tarot.

This is a truly lovely deck- the illustrations are vivid and striking. As well as the major and minor arcana, extra "gift of Faery" cards are included for use, to give a deeper meaning to the spreads, in terms of the Celtic Faery interpretation. The deck comes with a small, informative book which is the same dimensions as the deck, meaning they all fit togther in a neat little presentation box. One thing to bear in mind is the fact that the names of the cards are in old Irish, which could make things a bit confusing if you don't know what you're looking at, so I would only recommend this for beginners if they are very keen and know a little about the Tarot already. However the book is informative and contains a glossary of meaning and pronunciation, as well as a variety of spreads and interpretations, and I think the Celtic names add a really nice touch. In all this is a gorgeous deck, and well worth a look!

This deck is really beautiful with many interesting details. There's a lot of symbolizm, which can be both good and bad, depending on the individual interest. I.e., all minor cards (besides court) has a word written on them. Lay the cards out from ace through ten and these spell a sentence! The deck comes in a nice box, with a good and small book. The history of the cards can seem a bit confusing and should be read a couple of times. I use the deck to i.e. past life exploration rather than readings. That's of course very individual. Good luck!

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful and spiritual deck 19 Feb 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Cards
This deck is so beautiful... It differs from traditional tarot decks because it includes the Tree of Life card and four Gift of Faery cards. It, however, is not for everyone, as it is rather specialized (the Faery Wicca path) and it definitely helps to have a background in the tradition, but a beautiful deck nonetheless.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Connected 16 July 2002

I have other decks but this deck is the one that seems to keep me close. Ever since I bought this deck its become like a treasured friend. I find it extremely accurate and doesnt color the reading doing it on yourself as opposed to others. You can feel the energy in your hands as well as throughout your whole body..its that strong. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Faery Wicca Tarot Cards 14 Oct 2001
By Jackie.Christie - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Cards
The biggest advantage of the deck is the 'extra' cards. I have used this deck for over 5 years (it is wearing out), and I find the insights combined with the mythology to be both insightful and of a revelationary nature. My daughter calls this the 'cadillac' of tarot decks. Occasionally, when I have done readings for others, they have been awed by the spot-on accuracy and revelation nature of the readings. Beautiful artwork, meaningful mythological analogies, and profound writing. Excellent.
