Product Description

Review

"Faeriecraft brings us wonderful reminders of the importance of connecting with the fairies and with nature. The book is filled with excellent suggestions for working, healing, and celebrating with the fairies. The fairies are the environmentalist angels, and the more that we believe in them, the more power they have to clean up our world. It's my sincere prayer that everyone who reads Faeriecraft will go to a park or garden and get to know the fairies who live there." -- Doreen Virtue

I have read many books on the faery folk and I would have to say that without a doubt, this is the very best. Alicen Geddes-Ward is as much an artist with the written word as her husband Neil is with his wonderful pagan art. Not only is this book beautifully written and illustrated, it guides us into the faery realm and shows us how to work with them in a way that we can understand. Even though you don't need to be a witch to use the guided meditations, instructions on building a faery altar, etc., I can only say that this book truly makes practicing my Craft even more meaningful. I would highly recommend this wonderful book to anyone who is interested in connecting with the faery folk.

To all there Faerie seekers and the witches who miss something on their pagan path!
This book is an eye and Faerie heart opener!
I was practicing witchcraft but missed something...and then when I read this magnificent book I knew it was the energy of the Faeries I have missed in my rituals!
This is a real studybook where a Faerie priest and priestess take you by the hand to lead you into Elphame.
How to make a Faeriealtar, how to make your Faeriewand, How to connect with the Faerieking and Faeriequeen, What are the ritual clothing, etc.
This book tells you everything you need to know about being a good and devoted Faeriepriestess or Priest. Decorated with black/white beautifull Faerieart!
Also, you can read many beautiful and entchanting visualizations to meet the beautiful Folk and very good advice to make a protecting circle, especialy tuned on the Faeriecraft.
Anyway, this book reveals the key you have always been searching for to walk the Faerie Magic Path and I recommended this book very much!

Alicen and Neil have delivered a superb book which provides an introduction for those wishing to explore the world of Faeriecraft or those wishing to incorporate the faeries into their present practice. It is the most accessible and interesting book I have read on the subject - many others which claim to help you work with the fey just repeat folklore or discuss the subject in vague terms. Alicen writes with authority on the path of the Faerie seeker and it is clear that she has a great deal of knowledge, which she passes onto the reader with ease. There is SO much detail included in this book - including rules for communicating with faeries, several meditations, tools for use in faerie magic and exercises to help you make contact with the fey. There are also a collection of rituals included. The book is suitable for those new to the Faerie path and those who already have some experience - there is no "dumbing down" of the information here. Neil's wonderful illustrations appear throughout the book... Anyone who has seen Alicen & Neil at one of their workshops will know - this book is an absolute MUST for faerie seekers! I cannot recommend it enough!

Format: Paperback
One of the worst, wishy-washy, sugary, lost in a rainbow-haze-of-crystals-and-unicorns books I have ever had the misfortune to read.

The fascinating subject of the Fae, their traditions, ways, origins and working with them as a pantheon are reduced to watered down new-age fare. Far from being the great beings of folklore, and nature spirits, akin to gods and Jungian archetypes, the host of Faerie has been reduced to pale stereotypes, little more than weak monotheist angels. Avoid this insubstantial morass of dreadful wicca-lite confection and treat yourself to a serious study on the fae, something along the lines of Faeries , A Dictionary of Fairies orIllustrated Encyclopedia of Fairies

I recently bought this book at Witchfest, and got it signed by the authors. I have now read it from cover to cover and can say that it is one of the best and informative books on Faerie Magic and blending of Witchcraft I have found. You don't have to be a witch by the way to contact the faeries. It is just a good back ground of knowledge to further your experiences and knowledge of Fey and Faerie Monarchs. You can use the visualisations and pathworkings in the book at your own pace and suggestions are given to help you form you own ways to contact and work with faerie beings. It also has a chapter about contacting Faerie Kings and Queens, which I have not found elsewhere and would be of benefit to those who seek the Fey. Filled with very nice illustrations by her husband, pagan artist Neil Geddes-Ward, this book now takes pride of place near my new faerie altar. I hope they produce many more of this kind.
