'She Hangs Brightly' from which this single is taken is sometimes a little inaccessible, but the best two songs from it are on this single (the other being 'Five String Serenade'). Both songs are perfect for listening to in the dark (though male listeners might well encounter a slap from their significant others for drifting away with the lovely Hope)
Well worth going for if you want something that is at once sexy and yet makes the hairs on your arms stand up.
Fade Into You - Really beautiful, atmospheric modern rock song that's been played a million times on TV shows and movies. I really love the song, which is also available on their "So Tonight That I Might See" CD.
I'm Gonna Bake My Biscuit - Remake of a song written by Minnie McCoy (AKA Memphis Minnie) and recorded by her during the 1920s. I like this song also because it's such an unexpected remake, and it has a great pseudo-blues sound.
Under My Car - ok song that was previously unreleased.
Bells Ring (Acoustic Version) - The original version is also available on their "So Tonight That I Might See" CD. A very pretty song with strings likely to appeal to fans of "Fade Into You."
The remaining two songs were enjoyable as well--"I'm Gonna Bake My Biscuit" [#2] (though it took me a few listens to like it) and "Bells Ring (Acoustic Version)" [#4]--the latter song also available on "So Tonight That I May See," but in its original version. Overall, a nice sampling of somber alt rock music. (4 tracks in total)
