Format:Paperback
Friday Night Armistice frontman and the man behind Morris and Partridge dishes up a 41 course meal, best digested in a number of sittings lest you blur the line between fact and fancy, sanity and madness. He tells of strange wars (between those with sweet teeth and those of a savoury bent), offers a unified theory of nursery rhymes and reveals the top 100 albums of all time (among them that classic Robson & Jerome U2 covers album). The crown prince of the absurd, he is.

Amazing 22 May 2008
Format:Hardcover
Simply an amazing book. It is essentially a compilation of Armando's column from the Observer - which makes it sound quite boring - but it is probably the funniest book that I have ever read. If you have seen the Armando Iannucci Shows, then you will find early versions of some of the 'sketches' in here. Some of the chapters are satirical (and possibly a little out of date now), others are just plain surreal but it is all very well written and definitly worth a read.

disappointing 9 Jan 2011
By Chapman
Format:Paperback
I was really disappointed with this book, maybe my expectations were too high after reading all the positive reviews and loving the Armando Ianucci show. I thought it was pretty hit and miss, some chapters did have me chuckling to myself but some just weren't funny.

I will however give it another read at some point and if I appreciate it more with my lowered expectations then I'll revisit my review and amend the rating
