This book arrived carefully packaged, well before the date stipulated and in good condition.
Fantastic book for adults and children, only took a couple of hours to read it and engrossed from the start.
Intent to order more books from the series.

This is such a great book! It really shows how life was like in the slums. It is very well written and shows how the match strike affected people at the heart of it. It also highlights the illnesses and hardships that came from making matches at the time.

It was 1888 and Florence Lived in London in very squalid conditions with her mother and two sisters, her father mostly away at sea.
Floence managed to find employment at the Bryant and May match factory, her family needed the money even though Florence was aware that some of the chemicals used could cause death from the so called Phossy Jaw.
Working conditions were not good and the girls decided to go on strike, meanwhile Florence's father had returned and with the lack of money decided to try bare knuckle fighting again to get some money for the family.
As one of the series of the My Story books this would probably be one of the better ones.

Bought for a grandchild, suggested by her mother, so I assume it is good and that she will enjoy reading it.
