There is a growing recognition amongst those involved with the creation and distribution of nuclear power of the value and positive impact of ergonomics, recognition heightened by the realization that safety incidents are rarely the result of purely technical failure.  This work provides insights into plant design, performance shaping factors, the fostering of a safety culture, training, selection, alarm design, team performance and data collection.

2.0 out of 5 stars INTERESTING BOOK BUT IT NEEDS A LOT MORE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR GLOBAL PERCEPTION OF NUCLEAR SAFETY 19 July 2013
By E. P. Kourla - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
Because this book it describes only few of important nuclear human factor themes of nuclear fission energy safety , we considered it Only as an intersting book in its field of knowledge.
But it must be suplemented with additional information on nuclear fission energy safety in three major themes:
a)The Human Factor role in the Nuclear Safety concerning the Human Management! and the Politicians and the Nuclear Resources Providers and Others influences in Nuclear Systems'Safety and AND
b) The Technological perception of Nuclear Safety AND
c)The scientific article with the title "Theoretically and under very special applied conditions a nuclear fission reactor may explode as nuclear bomb" by Joseph-Christos Kondylakis,
published in the scientific proceedings of the Helenic Nucler Physics Society(HNPS) in its 19th scientific symposiumm held at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,Greece, on 28-29 May 2010 .This proceedings exists also in the Internet site: http://nuclpart.phys.uoa.gr/HNPS/Files/ANP2010.pdf
