When I first saw the splatter guard I thought it was the solution to my problem. I make cupcakes & when I make the butter icing, the kitchen ends up covered in a film of icing sugar. I found when using the splatter guard, you can only mix in the centre of the bowl so you have to keep stopping to move the mix from the edge of the bowl to the centre. My bowl is the same size as the guard so when I tried to move the mixer around to get the mix from the sides of the bowl it left a gap on the opposite site of the bowl allowing the 'dust' to escape. Looks like it's off to the car boot sale for the splatter guard but don't know if my conscience will let me pass it on to some unsuspecting person.
Found this splatter guard to be very useful when mixing the cupcakes mixture. Am sure it will be useful for other recipes. Recommended.
