Detective Abby Stansfield worked hard to get serial killer Billy Ward convicted. All the evidence was there and then the case was thrown out on a technicality. After a confrontation with Billy Ward, Abby publicly threatens to kill him. She is suspended from her duties and goes off to a lovely mountain resort. There she meets Sarah Murphy. The two women are immediately attracted to one another and fall in love. There are many past secrets and lies and ups and downs through out the story.
This book is absolutely wonderful. It's thrilling, intriguing and the suspense is heart stopping. At one point, I couldn't turn the pages quick enough, yet at the same time I didn't want the book to end. All this and a really nice romance that didn't over shadow the story, but is an integral part of it. I hear that another book, From A Distance, is due shortly from C.L Hart, it can't come soon enough for me.

A fast-paced story that will have you rooting for the 'good guys.'
Plenty of romance along the way too in the shape of Sarah, but as one reviewer said, it's not overboard and is relevant to the plot.
The suspense and intrigue are totally consuming at times and I found myself still reading at 3 in the morning.
I hope we see a return of these characters because I've grown very attached to them.
All in all, this is an excellent, well written book and I would thoroughly recommend it. So much so (and I don't usually go for this), but I think it would make a fabulous movie.
Give it a go, I know you'll love it.

I couldn`t put the book down,LOVED IT. Read it all in one sitting. Thank goodness it was over a saturday and not during the week or I would have suffered in work. Got into the book the first few lines and then lost within the story line. Will admit I guessed who he may have been quite early in the book but in no way did it spoil it for me. I don`t usually like to leave comments in case I influence someone to buy a book and they hate it. Usually if "TerryB" gives it the thumbs up i know it will be a good read. Thank you Terry not just for this book but the others I have taken your advice from on you comments page.
