Very good book 1 Mar 2010
Format:Paperback
I have bought this along side several other caricature books

This one, as it says on the cover, is a comic portrait/caricature drawing technique book

It's very good as it offers an alternative technique for drawing caricatures

This is basically what the author refers to as the "pivot and axis" way of drawing which is very helpful

It's really good and like many others, inspires you to give drawing caricatures a go

But like all books, it reminds you that it's the hard labour of practice and more practice that really allows you to develop

It also covers working in various mediums including Photoshop.

All in all a very good book

If you're looking to start doing caricatures or need to improve on your technique, then this book has it all. Harry will take you from learning the basic face elements to producing full colour and digital caricatures with the ease of someone who has obviously been drawing and teaching caricatures for years. Once you nail your first likeness you'll be hooked!
