Review

`Colourful ... demonstrates that the hottest trends still come from individuals doing their own thing' --The Independent on Sunday

`Rodic's work is disarming and unique. The arrangement is perfection; each spread hits with two photographs connected by a whimsical humanistic quality ... less about fashion, more about style' --Londonist

`Photos of the most snappily dressed hipsters in cities around the world' --GQ Online

`Far more interesting that most of what you'll see on this season's catwalk runways. A chronicle, of sorts, of our age'
--British Journal of Photography

`Rodic's photographs are so beautiful they seem wasted on a screen, and far better appreciated on your lap where you can pore over them' --Cooler

`Set to become a Bible for a certain breed ... You can obtain SO many outfit ideas from this. One little book, so many uses' --Gay Times

`Hugely influential ... A revealing insight into fashion's new frontline: the street corner' --Professional Photographer

--The Times

Product Description

When French Elle ran an article on How to Become Hip in 15 Steps, there was no question about Step 1: have your photograph taken by Face Hunter. Face Hunter is the pseudonym of 32-year-old Swiss-born Yvan Rodic, who began his career with the advertising agencies Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett before founding one of the most innovative fashion blogs on the internet, which bills itself as eye candy for the style-hungry. Until recently, fashion trends were created by designers, celebrity models and fashion editors from the top down; now they trickle up from the street to the runway, sometimes bypassing the fashion industry entirely. Face Hunter is at the forefront of this fashion revolution as he travels the globe, snapping the most stylish looks in the street and discovering beguiling individualists in some 30 countries. These unexpected new icons of style are gathered together in over 300 photographs, accompanied by Face Hunters sharp observations from the new frontline of fashion: the street corner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Street fashion rocks, 14 May 2010

This review is from: Face Hunter (Hardcover)
Yes, its another street style fashion book full of great photos and even greater inspiration if you are into this particular style. I love this book and like the others - The Sartorialist, Nylon Book of Street Style and What I Wore Today - its great to dip into and you always spot something which you didn't before. Definitely recommended to those who like quirky styles and doing their own thing, inspiration for everyone!

4.0 out of 5 stars Authentic Street Style, 23 Sep 2011
This review is from: Facehunter (Hardcover)
If you want to see really edgy authentic street style, this is the book for you and anyone interested in street fashion. Unlike The Sartorialist, this book is not full of elitist industry types but real people with real budgets and extraordinary flair. It loses a point for not featuring many people over the age of 25 though! But then I suppose it might be harder to find older subjects with that 'edge'.
