Product Description

For three thousand years, the literary genius of the celebrated fabulist William Scrivener has enthralled a nation. Now, the fabler unwittingly finds himself drawn into his own fantasy thriller with his reputation and life put at stake. His possession of a strange statuette leads to murders, false arrests, a military coup, flight and near death, fights with giants, lies and counter-lies, culminating in his understanding of a disturbing nightmare...and the revelation of an astonishing past. In his final adventure story, the fabler travels with a comedian and a mysterious stranger to peel away levels of mythology revealing the devastating truth about their origins and the destructive event which will destroy their world.

About the Author

Andrew Quinn was born in 1961 and is from Manchester. He is a graduate in American Studies (University of East Anglia) and also Information Management (Lancaster University). He has had several years experience within the transport, communications and IT industries. He wrote The Fabler's Tale primarily as a parable about modern society. The story brings an entire colony of seemingly immortal humans to centre stage to ask the questions; what would a society of 3,000 year olds really be like; would it evolve differently from our own? The adventure is a paradoxical mix of a possible future set in a known past. It is the first of a series of stories which he is currently writing under the working title 'The Cryptic Colonies.'
