I was deciding to move on from consoles and get myself a gaming PC. I looked at all my options, and this turned out to be the better deal. It took a long time to deliver, but the PC itself makes up for that. The case is a plain black colour- nothing too fancy. Yes, there are LED's in there. After installing Windows 7 (5 awful hours) I wanted to see what this thing could really do.

Internet surfing is very quick and HD videos on YouTube look amazing in 1080p.

GAMES-:

Planetside 2: The first contender on this new system, runs very smooth on medium settings (playable on high but expect moderate frame rate drops). It drops the frames a lot in built up areas, but that's the game's fault.

APB Reloaded: Around 45/50fps on high settings, dropping down to medium around 60/65fps.

Blacklight Retribution: I was unable to get the frames on this game, but I can tell you it was very smooth on medium (starting to see the pattern here?)

Cryostasis: This is an obscure, but very demanding game in the graphics region. I was only getting around 25fps on medium settings, dropped a couple down to low and it was at a nice 40fps.

Black Ops 2 (Multiplayer): After taking off the idiotic frame limit, and lowering AA, this game never dropped below 60fps and at times reached the 100's!

SWTOR: 40-60fps on high settings, lovely. Lowering to medium I managed to get 45-70fps.

TF2: Wasn't able to acquire frames, but it was almost flawless on max settings.

Resident Evil 5: Benchmarks showed an average of around 63fps with all high settings but no AA. With 8x AA I got around 40 fps average.

Will add more when I can get more :)

I forgot to mention that this system is incredibly quiet.

Moved to PC gaming from Console gaming. Great gaming PC for a bargain price. It came just outside the time frame but communication was great and I'm guessing that they build them to order so I'm not fussed that it came one day outside of the time frame. It came via DPD courier and was very well packaged and wasnt really that heavy to be honest. Opened the box and pulled out the PC, connected it to my TV via HDMI. I then attached my USB mouse and keyboard, put the Windows 7 64 bit Premium into the disc drive, turned on the PC and pressed F12 after a couple of seconds. Don't panic if the screen is black when you turn it on, just press F12 straight away. Choose to boot from DVD and Windows installed very quickly. Entered windows and installed all the system tools from the Gigabyte disc that was provided. After that I opened the graphics card box provided and found the driver disc and installed the drivers and played a few games on high settings. However the graphics card couldn't handle the highest settings in 1080p on a 32" HDTV. So i bought the Gigabyte GTX 660 OC Edition 2GB from Amazon from around £150 and then installed it very easily as the case is quite large and accomodated the graphics card very easily. Now i can play all the latest games in the highest settings and in the highest settings you can see the difference in graphics from a console like the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 and it looks so much nicer. I was playing PES 2013 in the highest settings and using Fraps to record the footage at the same time and was getting 60 fps. F1 2012 plays like a dream in the highest settings and music sounds decent too. Movies play flawlessy in 720p aswell as 1080p. Great gaming PC at a bargain price.Read more ›

Ok to start off the pc arrived 2 days before final arrival date (excellent!), the pc is awesome the only things that an serious gamer could want more is to upgrade the hard drive to solid slate drive and the graphics card to a ultimate card.

From my analysis I have tried about 6 games on it:

Civilization V: Perfect - never lagged AT ALL (fps60) in fullscreen or windowed mode (everythin on highest available option) in fact with this game you can run it while you are busy doing something else since the pc runs so smoothly with it.

Dark Souls: No Lag- it runs perfectly well is also the game itself that has no graphics option.

F1 (2012): Runs well- if you set the graphics to medium or change the stuff like decrease quality of the outside of the tracks, please note since this is a racing game I only play if it fps 60 non stop (since one moment of lag and you will crash).

Sins of a Solar Empire: Perfect - its a strategy game it can run extremely same as Civilization V

The Elder Scrolls V- Skyrim: Runs very well- you can leave it on high (NOTE: this is without mods you will HAVE to decrease if you install mods) push down to about medium and it will run fps60.

The Witcher 2 (Enhanced Edition): Runs ok- Had to decrease setting to in-between low-medium specifications as in set to low then add like better textures and good to go (NOTE: this is the Enhanced edition so on the normal game should, haven't tried, run medium-high)

The motherboard is:
