Futures:50 Years In Space,
By Glcave "John 'trekkie' Cave" (Huyton Mereyside U.K.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: FUTURES: 50 YEARS IN SPACE (Hardcover)
To put it quite simply, this is one of the most well written and beautifully illustrated books in the field of astronomy. The book is written as an update to an earlier book The Challenge Of The Stars and brings the ideas of future space travel bang up to date with current space travel theories. Sir Patrick Moore takes a look at all the Planets in turn and gives the reasons of why and why not we will visit them. He then takes a trip much further afield into the depths of deep space. Written in Sir Patrick Moores usual anecdotal style and beautifully illustrated by David Hardy, this book would make the ideal gift for beginners in astronomy to the more advanced observr.

buy it used on amazon for a cheap price & you probably won't be disappointed. Good pictures throughout, nice write-ups on some space topics. I enjoyed it.
