My daughter was very excited about getting this bed. However she was disappointed with the futon part. it is filled with foam pieces so you end up with a very lumpy and uneven futon. Also we asked 4 white which was an option, but when it arrived it was cream, another disappointment. It took my partner and i 3 hours 2 put it together and my partner is a very practical person. so if your not get someone in to help. also there were a few sharp bits on the welding, which is messy, that needed sanding off. also lots of marks on the metal work. its ok now its up and after 3 hours putting up we're not going to send it back. but if i were you i'd think twice before ordering this bed.

This is a duplicate review of the one I have just posted on this bed, but without the matress.

Fairly easy to put together - but does take 2 of you. Takes about 2-3 hours. Instructions not brilliant, but adequate. It is fairly easy to understand how it goes together after the 1st few bits are in shape.
Bed very rigid, and should do an excellent job. Only thing I needed to take into consideration is that there needs to be space behind the bed/settee, when you need to use the double bed. If it is against the wall normally, you will need to pull it out to have the 2nd bed.

Getting this bed has been a nightmare. After ordering - FUTON BUNK BED (COMPLETE WITH MATTRESSES) IN SILVER METAL FINISH it arrived bit by bit, nobody knew what and when things would arrive. Numerous phones calls (never returned), lost pieces and lost couriers it took over 5-6 seperate days of waiting around plus chasing days to get it all. Then putting together was not easy, diagrams are basic, a good 3 hours with 2 practical people is needed (the poles being labelled correctly would help!) But after all the chase e-mails etc it looks great.... BUT the mattress they sent (we ordered the base plus mattresses) when unwrapped and popped on top for full effect it was too thick, the lines and instructions clearly state the mattress should not exceed it - so for the last 4 days my daughter has been on the futon bit, with no end in sight for how this will be resolved. They are due to pick up the mattress - another day of waiting and I am supposed to choose another on. So the product- not fit for purpose but I have to sort it out. It does look good, so if you have days to waste with waiting and chasing and alot of patience go for it, but I cannot recommed the service level, it detracts from the product.
