We went for a more expensive crosstrainer as we think its false economy going for a cheap one which has little resemblance to a gym model.The Ultraglide is superb.It glides along with no noise or squeeks unlike some of the cheaper crosstrainers.The stride lenth is 17 inches which is good & you can really feel it working your muscles.This really is a quality product & having used gym models we can safely say that this product easily feels just as good.Assembling the Ultraglide did look rather daunting at first but if you read the instructions & dont rush then it is very straightforward.We took our time assembling it & it took about 90 minutes.
There are loads of programs & setting to accomadate all users & to keep you motivated.This product is heavy which is good, as some of the lighter crosstrainers tend to wobble when in use.The Ultraglide is solid & has no wobble whatsoever.The flywheel is 22kg.Compare that to other models & you will see that it is much heavyer.Other models tend to be around 7kg-11kg.If you read what fitness instructers say about crosstrainers then you will see that they say that the heavyer the flywheel the smoother the workout.We are very pleased with our purchase & would reccomend it to anyone serious about keeping fit & healthy.

Received this machine beginning of October 2011, regrettably by the end of December problems occured with the computer which prevent the machine from working. The company have advised i post the whole computer part of the glider to them (at my expense). At the moment they are currently trying to fix the problem. At nearly £500 this was a considered purchase, so i'm really trying to be optimistinc and hope this is not going to be a recuring problem; On a postive note, the glider itself, when working, is absolutely fantstic and really sturdy, in the same way a professional Gym quality machine is. It's just unfortunate i have encountered these problems just 12 weeks into ownership. Will keep you posted on how i get on but the company, so far, have been helpful.
I have had my cross trainer now over 3 months and I am very pleased with it.
I am a 56 year old woman but it was relatively easy to put the cross trainer together (only had one screw left!) and was rather proud of that fact.
It is a heavy, solid piece of equipment and it but runs really smoothly and soundless. To me it is not much different from the ones you find in the gym.
Still trying out the different programmes, the leaflet is not very clear on this. Don't really understand how the fat/calorie burning programmes work since the pulsometer is not really working. It doens't give a correct pulse rate unless I have done something wrong when entering the data.
Fortunately I have my own pulsometer so it isn't a big issue for me.
I exercise 30 minutes every day, purely to keep my heart fit and do not regret buying this piece of equipment at all.
