I can confirm that this is a very sturdy piece of equipment, and it does need 2 to carry the package on delivery.
The assembly instructions were concise, all the nuts and bolts were packaged in bags clearly labelled stage 1, stage2 etc.
In use the cardio trainer is smooth and stable and i quickly came to enjoy using it. Now the important bit - is it an
effective excersise machine ?. I bought it to replace a magnetic resistance stationary cycle and i'd been using a high
intensity cardio excercise routine to build up my fitness levels. I've now done two full sessions on the Hammer and it
definitely is a more arduous form of excersise, i can raise my heartrate to 80 -85% MRH in a slighly shorter time,and
i don't have to pump my legs at the same RPM to maintain this heart rate for the designated periods, and at the end
of the routine i definitely feel that i've put more effort in. Yes! - this piece of kit deserves 5 stars.

Having read all the reviews for the Frontier Pennine magnetic cross trainer, I was convinced that this would be a great way to get fit at home without the hassle of road running or joining the gym and so bought it new. The kit is definitely sturdy and the programs certainly make you work up a sweat however... after just a few weeks of using the cross trainer I started to get hip problems which even after 3 months of not using the kit are still giving me issues. At first I thought it was possibly just me and waited to see how my girlfriend got on but she too has now started having similar hip problems and the Frontier cross trainer has now been very disappointedly retired to the garage. Gutted. We are both pretty sporty and certainly not prone to injury or whinging. I think that the stride distance on the Frontier cross trainer is way too short and you end up doing an unnatural stride pattern which could well be the cause. I am not a particularly tall guy (5' 10) and size 9 feet but using this kit is like putting one foot directly in front of the other in terms of stride length. People need to know - this is NOT I repeat NOT the best piece of kit based on our experience. Think about stride length before you part with your hard earned cash for one of these. Ebay sellers here I come. :-(

this is a brilliant piece of equipment. it came well packaged,and... ALL the pieces were in the box.an absolute dream of a job putting this together.could easily have put it together myself and just got my partner Alan to go round and tighten it all up.as it were two of us put it up in no time.It's great,you get a good work out, good programmes,but the booklet could do with being better written,it needs to be a lot simpler and clearer.In all a good machine,solid,stable and easy to use.
