I've been using this machine for a few months now and it really is as silky smooth and quiet as the ones in the gym. It arrived promptly and very well packed. It took only an hour or so to assemble, and was easier than
expected with step by step instructions.
I've been running for years and am really impressed by this reassuringly sturdy cross trainer. The multi-function touchscreen computer has a wide selection of programmes and modes, and the resistance is very progressive
over a wide range thanks to the better type of magnetic system. I also like that I'm not tied to dashing to the gym after work any more, and can now hop on the trainer whenever I wish to.
This really feels like gym equipment at an affordable price. Overall an excellent piece of kit that looks good and is easy to use. The next challenge is to get my husband on it!

I checked reviews before purchasing and decided that the frontier Olympus was for me. I definitely made the right decision, not only was it really easy to put together but the programs and settings are great for anyone who wants a real workout. I was initially worried that the programs wouldn't be very difficult but they are just as good as the cross trainers in the gym. I have gone from working out 4 times a week at the gym, to working out at home on a daily basis. It's just so much easier to do it from the comfort of your own home! I highly recommend this cross trainer.

The item was delivered one day early, no warning! As it says on the instructions to the delivery man that there will be someone to help carry the package, not getting in touch with us to expect the parcel is poor. Especially as our phone number was printed in big, fat font on the delivery label!!
The product was well packed and every thing to the last screw was there. However the diagrams listing the parts and screws were not very accurate and relied a bit too much on one's imagination. The actual instructions for building the Xtrainer were OK.
The product is good and solid.
The user manual is absolutely useless and this is a great shame. This machine has a lot of unexplained functionality and the poor manual means that one would really need to struggle through very poor instructions to make full use of it. In the days of modern publishing technology there is no excuse for this. There is however an explanation: Cheap costs saving. This is disappointing.
Once a better manual will be made available I will increase my rating.
