5.0 out of 5 stars Footloose in Budapest, Prague & Krakow 12 April 2011
Verified Purchase
Debra and David Rixon's 'Footloose' series have been a great delight to my wife and myself. Now being older and less footloose than we once were we appreciate the pleasant and informative commentary of Debra and excellent camera work of her husband, David. These allow one to almost be present with them as they reveal so much of beauty and interest on their journeys which often also include pleasant music by the talented Barnaby Smith.

Budapest, Prague and Krakow are three beautiful cities with historic streets, bridges and castles. With so many interesting places to visit and people on the way who give of their own knowledge this is a program not to be missed. - Mike Hardy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb tips for tourists 24 Feb 2011

This three titles are all full of very practical ideas of what to see and do in the three cities. Watch before you go and target where you plan to visit. If you are an armchair traveller then you also get a good view of the cities. Worth every penny.

3.0 out of 5 stars Walking Pace 26 Jan 2014
Amiable ambles through 3 European cities.
Whilst enjoyable enough to watch, neither presenter seems particularly comfortable in front of the camera - some 'walking and talking' shots are very wooden.
However at just 25 minutes long, the presenters devote a large portion (almost like a long advert) of each show on just one part of the city - The. U Flecku pub (rightfully pointed out as a huge tourist trap by another reviewer) in Prague, or the trabant car tour in Krakow.

Not bad, but they could have been so much better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Go and explore for yourselves! 17 Nov 2011
By Rik P
Having visited Prague this year we purchased this 'guide' only to find it horribly lacking in detail and the presentation and filming is distinctly amateurish. The Prague review spent far too long at the Brewery which when I spoke to a native of Prague that I know, I was told to avoid at all costs as it's a tourist trap. If you like occasional close-ups of the presenters rather ample calves as she walks along then enjoy, but just do some research online and get the DK guide book which is detailed and excellent. Hugely disappointed that I purchased this.
