5.0 out of 5 stars AsRock FM2A75 PRO4 27 Jan 2013
Verified Purchase
Building my first pc, I was initially worried about spending such a large amount of money on just one component of my build, but I figured that as this was the main item in my build, and as I wanted to build a high end PC, I reasoned that I should make it very high end. In all fairness, it is not incredibly expensive, as motherboards go and works very well for me. I paired this with:

AMD A10 5800K
4GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM
Sandisk 128GB SSD
ASUS DRW 24B5ST ODD
TP Link TL-WDN4800 PCI-E x1 WiFi card

As you can tell, this build was not an incredibly high-spec one, but it is future proof if I ever want to expand with better/more RAM, a discrete graphics card (I am currently using the HD7660 that is one the cpu, very good by the way) and a large HDD. I will probably install a 500GB hdd soon.

I installed windows 8 on this system, that seems to run just fine, and all the drivers for LAN and audio etc. installed fine (I put the newest ones onto a USB instead of using the disc).

The multitude of expansion slots gives lots of scope for adding to this build in the future which I hopefully will, (I have already added a very good wireless card to the system which works very well) and there are also a lot of USB 3.0 ports for extra future-proofing. The onboard/cpu graphics work very well on this motherboard & cpu combination, but if you are a gamer I recommend a discrete graphics option.

I installed my build into a Zalman Z9-U3 case which seemed excellent for this build and currently the whole build is working perfectly. The two front USB 3.0 ports I connected mid board using a cable like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Akasa-AK-CBUB09-15BK-Internal-Adapter-Cable/dp/B005LDY0SO/ref=sr_1_2?

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth it 2 Feb 2013

Decent motherboard, A75 chipset packs in loads of features and ports. BIOS and software aren't too bad either for things like fan speeds and overclocking.

Worth the money!

5.0 out of 5 stars FM2 ATX boards don't come much better 10 Jun 2013

Got this board for an APU build for a friend and works a charm. OC'd some 1866MHz RAM to 2133MHz and still completely stable and good to go 24/7, would recommend for any new builder or experienced builder making an ATX FM2 system, really good expansion slots which are well thought out making for very good CrossFire/SLi (if you are using Nvidia cards) capabilities, build quality is excellent and to my astonishment the on board audio is not as cringe-worthy as many other audio chip sets i've seen on boards of this price.

Got to say AsRock have made a great board and I will be using there boards again :)

5.0 out of 5 stars No hassle motherboard 31 Dec 2013

I am by no means an expert at building desktops, but over the last few months I have built 3 for different reasons, I used this motherboard in the first and saw no reason not to use it in the others. All I can really say is all 3 machines run issue free, the building was simple. I am running an older game (everquest 2) as my main task on my machine and it is stable and smooth. So for my needs i rate this motherboard very highly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 11 Dec 2013

Im currently using my first build PC. And as you can see its working. Very easy to use and has loads of PCI and PCI-E slots. Ram was fine (Kingston 8GB) and AMD A8 Quad (amazon joked with me as its really a dual core with both cores doing two things at once...)

Usb ports fine and I've had no problems. When making my PC i touched my radiator every not and again and no damage has occurred to the components. Overall 5 stars.

1 slight knit pick is the fast its a weird size and the bit with the power connector is suspended and I was close to snapping it off because my power plug wouldn't go in :P
