Well this grill pan does do the job that I wanted it to do, but I fear I ignored a warning in another review about the problems with the detachable handle. As the grill in my very small kitchen has a pull down door that is just at head height, it needs to be closed during grilling otherwise you risk a nasty injury. With this in mind I wanted a grill pan with a removeable handle so that I could slip it on when I needed to take the pan out and take it off again when I put it back. Unfortunately the handle on this grill pan is so awkward to get on and off, you need a two minute warning of when the food will need turning to give you time to get it on. The result is that I have done away with the handle, and just use an oven glove.
If you have a grill without a door and can attach the handle permanently then I cannot see there being any problems with this grill pan at all.
