Filters are very effective - we can never smell the contents until we take the lid off to empty into the composter in our garden. Would recommend the bin and the filters.

suppress smells in the kitchen 14 July 2011

I especially hate smells and flies in the kitchen. These filters effectively prevent both, masking any unpleasantness - even when the caddy has been in use for several weeks and the contents are starting to rot.
