There is some excellent insight in this book about a much neglected topic - what is it to fear the Lord? The book won't answer all your questions, but it will encourage you to listen to the voice of the Spirit as you search the scriptures to know, and ultimately to fear, the Father more.

In the book John takes you through the entire Bible (Old and New Testament) to show those who had an intimate relationship with the Lord and how they "feared" the Lord. It has caused me to pray for God to teach me to fear him. I understand that fearing God is separating ourselves from evil. When we fear God we draw close to God, we are not afraid!

There is SO much garbage teaching about the "fear of the Lord" out there - praise God for someone like Bevere - who tells it as it is. People won't wanna read this if they have created God in their own image. The trouble is, many in the USA and Europe have done exactly that. We have wanted a god that we put in our man made boxes. We continuously sin & cuddle into our little box - knowing that "another Jesus" winks at us and lets us carry on sinning. God is an awesome God of love - but He is also a Lord Who should be feared. When you are intimate with God - you want to run into His loving arms - not run away from Him. The church in the book of Acts was an awesome church - they KNEW the love of God - and Acts 9:31 states that "it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord." Trouble is - when we don't really KNOW the Lord - we just want KNOW ABOUT Him - the nice things. Bevere encourages us to get to KNOW JESUS not to get to know about Him. When You KNOW Him - you would KNOW the fear of the Lord.
Like fasting & tithing - the fear of the Lord is not a popular subject - but it should be & this book is well worth a read - if only to get you into God's Word to ask Him yourself.

Intrigued - One finds himself in the vortex of Gods purpose!
God has oviously shared his secret with John Bevere. This is a must read throughout the body of Christ. The fear of the Lord is a call to the Church to deal with it's whitchcraft. Read more
