I was originally going to buy an acer c20 pico projector, but after reading several reviews I realised it was not for me. So instead while researching I stumbled upon this little beauty The favi rio. For £150 it's the same price as the acer and about 5 times brighter. It comes with a vga cable to connect straight to your laptop or pc and also a set of rca cables. It has a hdmi input but cable not included, not a problem though as they're only cheap.
I set mine up with the laptop and had a 7ft or 2.3 metre image projected on the kitchen wall within 3 mins of opening the box.
Also I have tested with Nintendo wii with astounding results. Don't expect a top of the range piece of kit but do expect a more than adequate picture, it's not HD but what can you expect for the price of a small portable tv.
I will say though if you plan on using it for text documents it's not the one for you, but if like me you enjoy gaming and movie watching it's a great budget projector.

I purchased the projector fully aware that it is a 'budget' machine and having read the considerably mixed reviews for the product's performance (I wasn't therefore expecting brilliance!). And to be fair, the first two times I used the machine with a MAC, it performed well - projecting clearly from a distance of 2-3 meters.
However when I tried to use the projector a third time using a PC, the power appeared to have gone - the light was very faint and I had to position it very close to the wall I was projecting on (less than 1 meter) in order for the image to be viewed. The projection was increasingly 'fuzzy' around the edges - eventually after a couple of hours, it completely faded away. I have now purchased a more high-spec projector.
I returned the product and was given a full refund from Amazon.

This is a load of rubbish. Only works in dark rooms and so hard to focus. if it's in focus at the top it's out at the bottom and visa versa. Forget it for any sort of presentation. I bought for occassional use but it really is not up to it. I regret buying it. Suggest spend a little more and get something a lot better.
