I'm a big fan of some of Howie B's remixes. His funked-up tech-house style, with a slightly dark edge, has always fitted nicely into that 2am section of a set. That said, I'm not bowled over by this. Sure, it's eclectic; sure, there are some good tracks, but I thought the whole point of a Fabric Live mix was to deliver a bit of a musical journey, for want of a better phrase. If this was a musical journey it would have a few too many stops at the services for a bag of crisps and a Lucozade for my liking. Howie doesn't so much mix as crash from track to track, and he doesn't seem to have expended a lot of effort in the tune selection. It all seems a bit half-baked.

If seamless mixing turns you on, why not buy some decks? Believe me, you'll be as good as this within a couple of months. Very average.

What Howie B has managed to do here is take you through a vast array of musical spectrums. The opening track Skelf 'Fish' starts off hard and rythmic sounding like skeletons playing with their bones.
Its a diverse compilation to say the least with many surprises, Howie B's remix of Garbage makes me see them in a different light. I'd never considered buying a Garbage song before so now unfortunately when i want to its unavailable.

Howie B has managed to transform a list of tracks which aren't outstanding into a mix which is. His mish-mash of tracks is what makes this compilation truely unique and certainly one of the best released by fabric who never fail to deliver.

To top it all Howie B finishes with Prince Far I, what more can I say?

People who want an extension of Okie coupled with beat-manifesto of mark pember.aka. Meat Katie this one goes for them. Its like giving away the hardcore deep groove for something differnt that can be quite easily attributed to Howie B. Its like getting on a ride, which for sure will take you through some of the widely heard genres on the dancefloors around europe and americas and yet sound devilshly diffrent. I must warn you it will take SOME time(somewhere after garbage's cherry lips) to get into the groove and after that you will think of "money spent well".

Groove Description: Breakish, Electro, Progressive, yet housy.
