5.0 out of 5 stars worth every penny 3 Aug 2012

We have returned today from a very successful week in Paris with our 5 children (aged3-10). We found this book an excellent resource. It saved us waiting in the huge queue for the Eiffel Tower (shorter queue round the back) and at the Louvre (again we walked straight in at the entrance suggested by the book). Lots of great places recommended. The book is a must-have purchase for any families planning to visit Paris.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent idea and well executed 17 Jun 2012
By Doc Barbara TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback
It is a good notion to take a city that does not, at first, seem an obvious place to take children and write a guide pointing out how such a trip can be a success. There is a clear Metro and RER map and the pages edges are colour coded. for easy reference. On each page one spot is covered, for example the Place des Vosges. There are photos of key features such as Victor Hugo's house with suggested age of child interest and entrance fee (none in this case). The nearest Metro station is given, a family value to the place is allotted along with a suggestion for somewhere to let off steam and/or take cover and there is a list of places to eat and drink including picnic ideas. It is amusingly written but not facetious and would make planning your Paris family holiday so much easier - and cheaper, thus paying for itself as Paris can be expensive.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great family guide but really slow postage 16 Jun 2014

I wish we had been able to take this guide to Paris, but it arrived after we left! This was within the stated delivery window, but that was a really long window. I hope to be able to take it next time....

Accurate information and just the right amount. Beautifully laid out and illustrated. I am going to Paris again without the kids, but I will take this book with me - it was that good.
