Product Description

People react differently when experiencing a traumatic event. When Mr. Billings was a child, he witnessed a murder. Held spellbound by the victim's desperate attempt at maintaining life, he never expected to feel electrical impulses throughout his body and when their eyes connected, the victim's evil deeds empowered the boy. Once the man's eyes took on a glassy glow, Billings did whatever he could to experience the power that can only come from the eyes of the dead.

Once unleashed, the supernatural connection gave Billings an almighty purpose. His unique gifts empowered him to clean up the city streets, one degenerate at a time.

Eyes of the Dead is a short story of righteous vengeance.

Billings was chosen as a seven year old, to witness crime and to be the fetch for the dead. In return Billings has a strange transfer of energy, the same euphoria a druggie gets, the same separation from reality (and possible hallucination) attributed to near death experiences.

Death is his intoxication. This is a quick read, a little dose of torture, death, blood, urine, feces, the chamber of horrors is cold, but a part of you is sort of on his side. He's definitely killing the right people.

Let him without sin cast the first stone - powerful words when sin sends you to this angel of death's door. None of us are guilt free - which means you - could - be - next.

Sinister story telling loaded with gore and righteous calm delivers you into a place where you want the bad guys dead, and Billings is the perfect psychopath for the job. Greed festers, and a sadistic part of you will enjoy reading Billings cauterizing these boils off the face of our earth.

Excellent story telling

A Supernatural Dexter. 4 Feb 2012
By Edward Lorn - Published on Amazon.com

I'm all for revenge stories. I love the Showtime series, Dexter, and this reminded me of a supernatural version of that.

Nomar Knight has a talent for the macabre. This story is visceral, a true HORROR story, and not to be confused with anything else. The lengths at which Billings goes to enact his revenge, are extreme. I found myself squeamish at times, even though I love movies like Saw and Hostel. This story is not an overly original concept, but that does not detract from the storytelling whatsoever.

The only compliant I have, is actually a compliment. I wished there was more. This short story would serve well in book form. Alone, it is fine, but I did find myself wanting to know more about the characters. There is SO MUCH going on in such a short time, you cannot put it down.

I did find two VERY SMALL typos. One where "plaque" is spelled "plague" and another where a sentence started with "At" instead of "I". Nothing too big. I've found bigger mistakes in traditionally published works.

I will not soon forget this story. Eye's of the Dead certainly gets my approval!

Nomar, you have a new fan, Sir!
