Simply awesome 1 Dec 2003
Format:DVD
Wow, oh wow, oh wow! Aside from being musically terrifying (and I say that as a guitarist of some 20 years) - Fripps solo on Larks PT IV is enough to make anybody contemplate giving the guitar up, Belews trick-bag defies description (I wonder how many guitars he breaks doing that neck bending thing), Gunns work comes from another planet and that guitar/stick/bass he plays is beautiful and Mastellato re-writes the rules according to drummers. Very neat trick of randomly inserting improvs makes the set different every time. I was at the gig in Shepherds Bush & this is every bit as awesome as I recall. The camera man doesnt suffer from wrong-hand-itis either so you can actually see what they're all doing (not for the faint hearted!)

Great package 2 DVD's 2 Concerts, 1 in 5.1 Dolby Digital 1 in Dolby Surround. It looks like Crimson have done it again with another fine DVD. I take my hat off to these guys, and the sound engineer's behind them. The first DVD is in a very nice 5.1 sound and the panning is really good. And so to the 2nd DVD, which is only in Dolby Surround, but still excellent quality, the picture quality is awesome too on both DVD's. Well worth the money and a must for Crimson fans and Prog fans alike. There is a lot of people I feel, who like nothing more than to slag this band off. But there again, there is a lot of people out there who do not know music.

Flat out amazing 6 July 2007

This is a brilliant DVD, a marvel of quality and value and a perfect introduction to an amazing band. The two disc set contains two separate and distinct live shows. The first show is from the 'Power to Believe,' tour (and features an acoustic drum kit and cymbals with electro Pads.) The set list is drawn exclusively from their three newest Studio albums.
Songs from these albums are vastly improved live, more energetic, with additional lyrics and better phrasing. 'Prozack Blues,' is a stormer live, and the version of 'Happy With What You Have To Be Happy With,' is heavy and fun as hell. Singer Adrian Belew has never sounded better, and seems to be having the time of his life. In fact, if you watch carefully, Grumpy old Fripp even cracks a smile.
The second disc is from the earlier 'Constuktion of Light,' tour (with entirely electric drums and cymbals) but has a wider set list, with a brilliant acoustic version of 'Three of a Perfect Pair,' along with new improv tracks and a live version of the rare track 'Cage.'
This disc has a crazy feature where the set list changes every time you watch it, with possible tracks playing at possible places, pretty inventive!
The value is amazing; the two concerts have a completely different feel, and even though there is some crossover ('One Time,' played at both shows etc) they are different and both worth watching. Disc One is very well recorded and filmed, absolutely brilliant... and disc two has a truer sweaty live fell, with poorer (raw) camera and audio; a great addition to the first disc.
Buy Now; even if you haven't heard of King Crimson.
