Product Description

Product Description

The Eyelead sensor and lens cleaning kit SCK-1 has an adhesive rubber head with a high viscuosity which will allow you to effectively remove dust from the sensor of your camera. Using the Eyelead dust-sticking brush is a very efficient and secure way to clean the sensor or lenses. It doesn't leave any traces or marks at all. You can easily do it yourself and will not have to invest in expensive cleaning services.

Important information: According to a recent review, this item may not be for Sony Mirrorless Cameras. Apparently the sensors of those cameras are treated with a product that is not 100% for the stick and there may be some marks left behind.

The Eyelead SCK-1 is however fully for Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Pentax, Olympus, Leica, Fuji and Samsung interchangeable lens cameras.

Product Advisory: Sony's proprietary coating technology on its mirrorless cameras might cause the Sensor Gel Stick to leave some residue on the surface of the sensor filter, which will require thorough wet cleaning. The residue can be removed with a wet cleaning solution, but might take significant effort to clean it. Therefore, we recommend that you do NOT use the Sensor Gel Stick on Sony mirrorless cameras listed below. The manufacturer of the Sensor Gel Stick is working on a different solution to clean Sony sensors, so we are planning to start offering a Sony-specific version of the Sensor Gel Stick soon. Here is the list of Sony camera models that are affected: Sony A7R, Sony A7, Sony A5000, Sony A6000, Sony NEX-7, Sony NEX-6, Sony NEX-5 (all models), Sony NEX-3 (all models). We have not heard of any other reports regarding other brand cameras.

I received this product after watching a video on
[...]
When I saw it being used on Leica cameras and reading up on it I thought I must get one.
I have just cleaned my sensor on my D300s and it has gone from spotty to perfect within 30 seconds, I have messed with wet cleans and moved dust around before, but this did the job in seconds and first time. I went into the sensor with trepidation however I needn't have done, it was just in and dot, dot and dot around the sensor and close up and take another image for dust, there was none; it got everything right up to the edges too. One very happy customer, and I would urge DSLR owners who are suffering dust to buy one as it is brilliant.
Eyelead have been superb with their customer service too.

I must fully endorse the other reviewer. This really is the best thing I have got for my camera. After using various dry and wet cleaning methods (all very good) this really got the last bits of dust and smears off the sensor. So easy to use. Its very sticky and on first using comes as a shock by how well it sticks and remove all the crud off the sensor by just dabbing it all over. Very highly recommended. So much so that I have just brought a second one in case this little gem gets discontinued. Don't forget to order the papers for cleaning the tip. Very highly recommended.

I own the Nikon D600 which for those of you who don't know has an fault, this fault is that the sensor gets dirty (mine really dirty) after about 100 shots. I have taken over to 5000 images with it now and it has settled a little but still not great! Anyway, I have been forced to become somewhat of a sensor cleaning professional (I feel that way anyway) and I have tried several products, and at times it was a real worry because sometimes cleaning it seemed to make the problem worse! However, I got this product and it is amazing, it now allows me to clean the sensor as often as I like without fear of damage and it removes 99.9% of the dust. Some just don't seem to come off so I suspect they are more than just dust? But unless you shoot on F32 your not going to see them and they are very small! So if your looking for a solution this is it. The person who said they cleaned 6 times and still had problems with his old camera is having this problem because the sensor itself is now damaged due to age, it will have nothing to do with this product, for me it is the best solution on the market at the present time. I am VERY happy with it.

Beware. Used it exactly as per instructions, ripped a portion of the IR filter off the sensor of my Nikon D4 on first use. Part of the IR filter is now stuck to the gel, the rest is with the camera at Nikon UK undergoing a costly repair. Nikon won't do the repair under warranty. Eyelead customer service appalling. 5 weeks later I still don't have my camera back, the repair bill is £1440 UK, and Nikon and Eyelead are each blaming the other for the failure and refusing to take responsibility, despite the fact that this is the product they use in their own cleaning facilities.

Best Sensor cleaner for sure, better than Visible Dust !
Used this to clean the sensors on my pro DSLR cameras. Nikon D4 and Nikon D800.
Both cameras are used daily for pro work. (sometimes in dusty horse arenas)

The gel stick is simple to use, dab it on the sensor and watch the dust come off.
When you put the gel on the sticky paper I was surprised how much dirt was on it.
This is much easier way to clean your sensor and very effective.

So how does it compare to wet clean swabs such as Visible Dust ?
With Visible dust i found it would leave streaks on the sensor, and I would need to use several swabs to get a good clean sensor.
Eyelead did a brilliant job considering how dirty the sensor had got over a long summer of intense use.
The first complete dab of the sensor picked up alot of dirt, dab'd the gel on sticky paper. Second dab of sensor and no spots visible at all.

Test setup
Nikon D4/D800 Iso 100, Tamron SP 90mm 1:1 f2.8 prime macro lens at f45, tripod, white piece of a4 paper.
Before cleaning, dirt clearly visible in shots.
After cleaning, nothing visible at all, fantastic. Pure white.

Using this product cleaning is faster and easier.
I have total confidence in using it, no damage was caused to the sensor at all.
I would advise buying the extra sticky pads if you will be cleaning your sensor often.
To clean one full frame sensor used up 1 pad, the sensor was very dirty to start with.

As it is so easy to use and extremely effective I am happy to clean my sensor more often. Normally I would clean it every 6 months
Now every 3 months as its simple to do.

Used it on my D600, despite my initial caution (how hard do you press) I soon was using it with confidence it did clean up the dust and the oil spots, there was a couple still left on the sensor mainly due to my caution from the first time of using. Next time I use the sensor cleanor it will be with the knowledge that it does the job.

To clean lens and sensor .First use green clean vacuum cleaner a very good product. Vacuum back of lens lens cap and then the bayonet of the camera. Then from the camera software lift mirror up to clean the sensor. Never touch the sensor with the vacuum nozzle. Then use the Eyelead Dust-sticking sensor cleaner. Just press lightly first then check if spots are gone. Put the Eyelead Dust-sticking and stick the dust on the paper supplied. If there are more spots just press another time on the sensor but this time a little more than the first one . I did this way Oil spots and dust spots were removed. Thanks Eyelead for eliminating such a problem.
