Over the years there are some albums that you go back to again and again, and just never seem to age. This is one of those albums. Before Busta decided to try and make more bucks working on his mainstream, club sound, he was deservedly regarded as one of the best MCs around, from his early days in the old skool - to E.L.E., which is his best album in my opinion.
Over the years, my favourite tracks have become 'Do it to death', 'party is goin on over here' and 'what the f*** you want' - the latter is still the most straight up agro tune i've ever heard. Still gets me fired up every time! Quality production and a unique feel.
The skill he displays in his rapping, while it doesnt try and be as deep as wu-tang for instance, is worthy of respect. This skill combined with heavy beats throughout the album (except 2 or 3 tracks) makes this unbeatable value for money. Some might find him a bit frivolous compared with more self-important 'real hip-hop' artists but, he is interesting and talented.
anyone who has had this album since it first came out will testify that it is one of their favourites i'm sure. any new hip-hop fans/people intruiged by busta are advised to stay away from anything post-'Genesis' and stick to the older albums - this in particular.
