I had difficulty in finding a fire guard that would fit around my hearth to encompass everything in it, but this one is perfect. Easy to assemble and I have a 10 inch overlap in the midddle which makes it nice and rigid. This is not a spark guard, I already have one of those, but a guard to prevent my grandson from exploring the fire irons, coal scuttle and bellows as well as the fire itself. I would recommend this guard as excellent value for money and man enough for the job.

The fireguard arrived promptly which was good as we needed it for when our granddaughter visited. However, when we tried to assemble it we discovered there were two left hand ends! Because we needed the fireguard quickly, my husband managed to cobble it together, and with the help of a small part purchased from the local DIY store, we were able to make use of it.

Visually pleasing
Arrived promptly. Classy back finish easy to construct and folds away neatly.
Needs holes drilled for 2 peg clips to secure to wall.
